Production Process

The production process of fortified wine is a carefully crafted series of steps that ensures the creation of a high-quality, flavorful product. It begins with traditional winemaking techniques to create the base wine, followed by fortification, where neutral grape spirit is added to increase the alcohol content. This process is then followed by aging, where the wine develops complex flavors and aromas in oak barrels or tanks. After aging, the wine is blended to achieve the desired flavor profile before being bottled. Each step plays a crucial role in shaping the final product, creating a unique and refined fortified wine.

Production Process

Winemaking: The base wine is made using traditional winemaking techniques.

Fortification: A neutral grape spirit is added to the base wine to increase its alcohol content.

Aging: The fortified wine is aged in oak barrels or tanks to develop its flavor and aroma.

Blending: The aged wine is blended with other wines to achieve the desired flavor profile.

Bottling: The final blend is bottled and ready for consumption.

Fortified wines are perfect for sipping on their own or using in cooking and mixology. Their unique flavor profiles and longer shelf life make them a great addition to any wine collection.
